Hello and welcome to my blog!

Something about me
My name is Anne, I am a 21 year old with a big interrest for animals (especially dogs and horses). Photographing is one of my serious hobbys in my sparetime, along with editing. I like when you can
see a change in the work I have done.
I have been a dog owner all my life – meaning as my parents have had dogs since I was born.
I have lived with both cross breeds and pedigree dogs approved by FCI. Labrador Retriever,
Golden Retriever, Dalmatian. Only big dog breeds, but never a medium dog as the Cockalier.
In 2016, me and my boyfriend started to talk about getting a dog, because we missed a dog in the home so much after we moved together. A home without a dog is just a house, right? And that’s when we started searching after the ‘perfect dog’ for us.
What breed should we choose?
We wanted a medium dog breed because we live in an apartment, so the dog would not take as much space in the apartment, as a big breed would do. And we wanted a dog, who would like to go on a long walk with us when it is fully grown and likes training. We did not think one of the approved dog breeds by the FCI standard where something for us. We read a lot about the Cocker Spaniel, how happy it always is and energetic, but maybe we just thought it had too much energy for us. We also read a lot about the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel witch also sounded amazing like the Cocker, but it did not have that energy we were looking for. So, after a while we found out, that we wanted something between a companion dog and a hunting dog, who wanted to cuddle and to be calm when we wanted it. But also, a dog with energy who likes to search after stuff and be outside with us whether it rains or the sun is shining.
Finally found something
After some months of searching we found a website who described a cross between the Cocker Spaniel and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Called the Cockalier. We had not hurt about this “hybrid dog” before, so we were very excited to read about this cross breed. It sounded like the perfect dog for us. Still, you can never know if the cross gets more of the Cocker or Cavalier temperament, but we were very sure that it was this kind of dog we wanted. Because no matter what, it would end up being a dog with a temperament we wanted in the end.
